Car with 70+ MPG manufactured in the US, but not sold in North America

Watch this video on an experience driving a VW getting an incredible 70+ miles per gallon, but only in other countries. Apparently, the engine's emissions are too high (when measured by the gallon but not by the mile) for North America. Hmmm . . .

Regulatory Train Wreck video

The US National Cattlemen's Association is at it again with another video on Beltway Beef - this time with the Regulatory Train Wreck Blues. Boggles the mind when beef can be imported from other countries with much less interference. Worth a watch and a laugh.

Do Vegetarians Have Smaller Brains?

Interesting study mentioned at Agwired.com that found those on a meat-free diet six times more likely to suffer brain shrinkage. It also confirms other findings which shows that overall human brain sizes have reduced by an average 11 percent since we adopted an agricultural diet based on cereal grains rather than the meat-based diet of our Palaeolithic ancestors. Read about it HERE.

A Canadian dream interrupted, guinea pigs to blame

Whether this story paints the truth or not, it does seem a bit bizarre that guinea pigs could cause a search of a home. Be careful what you import (knowingly or not)!

Farmer Wins Cattle Bedding Court Case

Animal regulations in Europe cover almost everything, including the quality of the straw your cows lay upon. In this case it seems the UK "county mounties" got a little carried away and proved they didn't really know the business or rules they were paid to enforce, resulting in a court case that was sheer "bureaucratic lunacy". Beware, all this is likely to happen on this side of the pond some day. Read about it HERE.

Crazy 'Square Pants Bob' makes hay (you won't believe it until you see it)

Some people will do ANYTHING! I'll never look at a square baler the same way again. Warning - the guy in this gets naked (although you don't see much).

AgWired.com reports "Lady Gaga definitely won the prize for most outrageous outfit at the MTV awards . . . with an all-meat ensemble complete with hat, shoes and purse that people are still talking about" (read the story).

Do take note that PETA thinks the outfit was "over the top" - can you imagine?

For photos and answers to your burning questions, like: was it comfortable? was it hot? did it smell? - go to "Everything You Wanted To Know About Lady Gaga's VMA Meat Dress!" from MTV.com.

Think I'll stick to eating it . . .
